Art as Play, Play as Art…

1998 – 2005

I do not remember the exact day I began to draw; my passion for art seems to have always been intrinsic to my being. Thanks to the drawings preserved by my parents and the freedom they gave me to explore this path, I can now look back and see my progress. From an early age, I stood out as a child with a special sensitivity for drawing and painting, sowing the first seeds of what would later become my vocation.

At the age of seven, I received a recognition that would mark my life: I won an international contest organized by Comex in collaboration with Disney. From that moment on, my parents began to see my talent not merely as a hobby, but as a virtue worth nurturing. It was then that I started attending art academies and studying fine arts techniques with greater awareness and discipline

Whispers of a Hidden Brush…

2005 – 2020

During this period, I was fortunate to learn from several mentors, most notably Evelia Sánchez Ibarra, who guided me for more than four years, imparting techniques, knowledge, and invaluable mentorship that helped shape my talent.

This stage also gave me the opportunity to experiment and discover myself in a slow and beautiful way. I spent my entire childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood drawing and evolving. However, despite winning some local and international competitions in my first stage, during this second one I was characterized by not making my art public nor properly preserving my works. It was an artistic frenzy—intimate and effervescent—that allowed me to explore, make mistakes, reinvent myself, and ultimately discover my own voice and talents.

The Birth of a Legacy…

2020 – NOW

Through the years, studies, and experiences, I discovered my voice in a style of drawing and painting defined by bold textures, influenced both by great masters from my homeland and by classical European traditions. Along this journey, the calaveritas, the interlaced strokes, and the distinctive palette of colors that now characterize my work emerged.

Feeling comfortable with my style and having found my own voice, in 2020 I decided to return to painting and once again step into the public eye. My style and vision not only allowed me to express who I am to those closest to me, but also carried my work across borders, granting me the opportunity to exhibit in Dubai, U.A.E., in 2023—a city that has since become my current residence. From there, new opportunities have naturally unfolded, positioning this resurgence as the beginning of a trajectory with a truly global reach.

“My calaveritas don´t laugh out of mockery, but because of every laugh they dared to experience in life!”
